Obituary: Wanda Dean Burns

Wanda Dean Burns, a 31-year Carson City resident, died Friday at her home. She was 73.

Burns was born May 26, 1927 in Sugarton, Texas to Charles Lee Harper and Mamie Mae Waldron. She worked as a farmer and in sales through her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Burns, who died in 1985.

Mrs. Burns is survived by her brother, Edward Harper, of San Antonio, Texas; son Keith Burns and wife, Michelle, of Dixon, Ill.; son Bruce Burns and wife, Gail, of Carson City; son Russ Burns and wife, Suzanne, of Redmond, Wash. and grandchildren Cyndi, Sabrina, Ian, David, Samuel, Jake, Ryan and Carson.

A memorial service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Fountain Four Square Church, 3690 Highway 395, Carson City.

Walton's Sierra Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
