The Unversity of Nevada women's swim team cruised to a 174-126 victory over arch rival UNLV Saturday in Reno.


Competing in the event for Nevada were Carson High graduate Lyndi Oxoby and Douglas High graduate Brandy Reichardt. Oxoby placed fifth in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11 minutes, 34.56 seconds while Reichardt placed fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.95.


Nevada senior Pin Luo won three events to lead the Wolf Pack. Luo won won the 500 and 1000 freestyles and the 200 butterfly. Nevada won 11 of 16 events.


Luo won the 1000 free in 10:28.20, the 500 free in 4:56.60 and the 200 butterfly 2:06.44.


Kate Oiness won in one-meter diving for Nevada with 301.85 points while freshman Christy Bulmer won the three-meter event for the Wolf Pack with 321.15 points.


Also winning individual events for Nevada were: Jackie Walk (200 backstroke); Rachel Gregorn (200 breaststroke); Chelsea Wilde (200 Individual Medley). The Wolf Pack also won the 200 medley relay.
