A preliminary hearing for a man accused of sexually molesting a 13-year-old girl over a three-year period was postponed Friday in a Carson City courtroom.
David A Sedig, 32, of Carson City, will undergo a court-ordered mental health evaluation before his next scheduled appearance Feb. 15.
Sedig was arrested after the girl told middle-school counselors about the alleged abuse. When he was interviewed earlier this month, he reportedly admitted to making contact with the girl.
Prosecutors anticipate that Sedig will sign a plea agreement.
He is being held on $20,000 bail for suspicion of sexual assault on a child under the age of 14.
