A funeral for Flora Christoff. 82, a Carson City-Reno resident for the past 35 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Walton's.

Mrs. Christoff died Oct. 13, 1999, at her residence in Carson City. She was born Aug. 6, 1917, in Kansas City,. Kan., to Charles O.M. and Mary Kister Browning.

She graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in San Francisco.

Before moving to this area, she lived in San Francisco for 25 years.

Mrs. Christoff was a registered nurse. She was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E., in 1997, and son, Richard Chiosso.

Among her survivors are her brother, Raymond Browning, of Denver, Colo.; sister, Thelma Risher, of Phoenix, Ariz., and a few very good friends in Carson City.

Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Flora and Thomas Christoff Scholarship for Nursing, UNR Donations Advancement/162, UNR Reno 89557.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley Cemetery and Crematory, is in charge of arrangements.
