Obituary: Susan Atchison

A memorial service for Susan Kaye Atchison, 64, a Carson City resident and lifetime Nevada resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Carson Valley Community Church off Jacks Valley Road with Pastor Joel Berger officiating.

Mrs. Atchison died Feb. 15, 2000, at her residence. She was born Dec. 4, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John K. and Dorothy Grover O'Neill.

She graduated from Reno High School in 1953.

Mrs. Atchison retired from the State of Nevada and was also an artist. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 9211. She enjoyed ceramics and painting. She was a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband, William, and sister, Bette Shannon.

Among her survivors are her mother, Dorothy G. Christman, of Carson City; daughter, Colleen K. Logan, of Vancouver, Wash.; son, Sean E. Atchison, of Sparks; brother, Patrick Norton, of Reno; sister, Vickie Spruill, of Winthrop, Wash.; and grandchildren, Athean B. Logan and Nicholas A. Logan, both of Vancouver, Wash.

Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 21775, Carson City 89721.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
