Obituary: Yvonne Frances Morgan

A memorial for Yvonne Frances Morgan, 74, a Gardnerville resident for the past two months, will be at the Los Angeles National Cemetery in Los Angeles Jan. 28.

Mrs. Morgan died Jan. 6, 2000, in Gardnerville. She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Cooma, New South Wales, Australia, to George Austin Power and Eva Mary Ramsey Power.

She married Charles Alvin Morgan in Sydney, Australia, April 17, 1943. He preceded her death in 1991.

Prior to living in Gardnerville she resided in El Segundo, Calif.

Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, sewing and gardening. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

As part of a Navy family, she traveled extensively, living in Guam, Hawaii, Utah, Washington, Oregon and California, where she resided for almost 40 years in El Segundo.

Among her survivors are her son, Charles R. Morgan of Essex, England; daughters, Carolyn F. Morgan of El Segundo and Marian E. Gunnoe of Gardnerville, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation is under the direction of FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville is in charge of arrangements.
