A memorial service for Gene Evans Patterson, 69, a Pahrump resident and former Carson City resident, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Odd Fellows Hall, 920 E. Corbett St., Carson City.
Mr. Patterson died Jan., 29, 2002, at Harbor House Hospice in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1932, in Pasadena, Calif.
Mr. Patterson worked for 19 years for the Carson City Parks Department. He was a member of Capitol Lodge No. 4, Independent Order of Odd Fellows and a Past Grand Master, Grand Lodge of Nevada.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Among his survivors are his wife of 29 years, Harriet; sisters Virginia Lane of Las Vegas and Evelyn Wiliamson of Pahrump; brother Douglas of San Bernardino, Calif.; four nieces and four nephews.
