Christopher David Sevilla, 50, a Carson City and Gardnerville resident, died May 20, 2002, at the Veterans Hospital in Reno. He was born June 26, 1951, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Chris and Nellie Sevilla.

He moved to Carson City in 1990 with his wife and two sons. He attained his contractor's license and worked in construction. He coached his sons in youth soccer and was active on the AYSO Board of Commissioners in the early years of the league in Carson City. In 1995, he moved to Gardnerville where he continued to work in construction. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S., Army from 1969-72.

Among his survivors are his mother Nellie of Venice, Calif.; sons David and Nicholas of Lakewood, Calif.; brother Robert of Chino, Calif.; sister Carol Munden of Hayden, Colo.; fiancZ Carol Verdugo of Gardnerville and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held in Santa Monica, at St. Ann's Church. Any cards or letters can be sent to his son David Sevilla, 11441 E. 216th St., Apt. 16, Lakewood, CA 90715.
