A memorial service for Ellinor D. Atkinson, 74, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at the Carson Valley Christian Center in Minden.
Mrs. Atkinson died March 9 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Norway to Johannes and Aagot Iversen Dale.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Texas and Oregon.
Mrs. Atkinson was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, painting, knitting, drawing and her dog, Tango. She was Lutheran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on June 10, 1996, in Carson City; brothers Jann Dale and Odd Dale; and sister Harriet Buckstad.
Among her survivors are her son, S. Erik of Minden; daughter, Loree Martin of Oregon; sister Peggy Bergny of Grass Valley, Calif.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
