Claude Self Jr., a 10-year resident of Mound House, died May 17, 2004, at his home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Oregon to Claude Sr. and Thelma Thornton Self. He was 73.
Mr. Self enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors. He lived in Sonora, Calif., before coming to Mound House.
He was a Protestant and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Among his survivors are his son, Drew Owen of Dayton; daughters Chelsea Self of Dayton and Claudette Self of San Francisco; brothers Don of Downey, Calif., and Barry of Oceanside, Calif., and a sister, Patricia Brunty of Yucca Valley, Calif.
No services will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
