A memorial service for Sherry Klein, 60, a resident of Carson City for the past 16 years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Klein died Feb. 18, 2005, in Carson City.

She was born June 8, 1944, in Waimea in Kauai, Hawaii, to Henry Yozo and Jean Okabe.

She attended Eleele Elementary School, Waimea High School and the University of Hawaii Community Colleges.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Hawaii.

She married Thomas Klein May 16, 1987, in Honolulu.

Mrs. Klein worked for the Ormsby ARC.

She was a member of the Roberts House Glass Club and enjoyed crocheting and pottery.

She was preceded in death by her brothers George and Wayne Okabe.

Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; daughters Debra Bolosan of Aiea, Hawaii, and Donna Matsumoto of Kailua, Hawaii; sisters Patricia Paliracio of Honolulu, Joan Tanigawa of Mililani, Hawaii, Sanda Muramato of Pearl City, Hawaii, and Rosaline Largo of Waimea; brothers James Okabe of San Antonio, Texas, Joe Makua Jr. of Kwajalein, Hawaii, and Samual and Wendell Makua, both of Phoenix; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
