Local volleyball team takes second

Four local women recently helped the Reno Raw take second in their division at the USA Volleyball Adult Open recently held in Denver.

Danielle (Dixon) Wallace, a 1986 Carson High graduate who played for former CHS coach Daryl James and now lives in Reno, Carson City's Patty Bray and Gardnerville's Rebecca Goodspeed and Kira Brown all played for the eight-member team.

The club played in the women's A division and after pool play was placed in the copper flight. The club went 3-1 in the copper flight, taking second after losing in the championship game.
