Bulldogs dominate state event

While no official state champion could be determined, the Carson Bulldogs youth wrestling club could make the arguement that it's the best in Nevada.


No criteria for team points was determined, but the Bulldogs dominated the USA Nevada State Wrestling Tournament recently held in Spring Creek. Three-hundred wrestlers from 20 teams competed in the event.


The Bulldogs came away with 23 first place finishes and had five "Triple Crown" winners, wrestlers who swept the freestlye, Greco-Roman and folkstyle titles. Nolan Shine, Blake Davidson, Bryce Moyle, Nevin Elliott and Micah Chalk all came away with Triple Crown plaques.


Carson had 33 wrestlers in the event.
