Phillip T. Vitrano

Phillip T. Vitrano, 72, a Carson City resident for the past 14 years, died March 5, 2005, in Carson City. He was born June 19, 1932, in Milwaukee to Thomas and Irene Kruszewski Vitrano.

He graduated from high school.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Cudahy, Wis.

Mr. Vitrano was a coordinator in the aerospace industry. He was a member of a Western group called the Carson City Varmints. He loved Western movies and enjoyed the people at Carson Station.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by brother, Tom.

Among his survivors are his wife, Ali; sons Tom and Robert of Franklin, Wis.; daughters Candace Hein and Kathleen Maur of Franklin, Wis.; stepchildren Teresa Malagon of Cussetta, Ga., Steve Gacek of Appleton, Wis., and Ted Gacek of California; sister, Pat Vitrano of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.

A memorial was held March 14 in Franklin.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
