A memorial service for Eugene E. Olson, 79, a Minden resident for the past 13 years, will be at 11 a.m. April 2 at the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 U.S. 395 South.
Mr. Olson died March 21, 2005, at his home. He was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Helenwood, Tenn., to George and Lola Mayes Olson.
He married Barbara Bruckelmeyer June 8, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio.
Before moving to Minden, he lived in Addison, Ill.
Mr. Olson served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife of Minden; sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Chris of Kansas City, Mo., and Gary and Kathleen of Aurora, Ill.; son, Donald of Addison; daughters and sons-in-law Theresa and Edward Chipp of Gardnerville, and Kathleen and Doug Hamlet of Ventura, Calif.; sister, Irene Elliot of Grove City, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one niece and two nephews.
Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
