Lawrence 'Larry' Hartnagel

Lawrence "Larry" Hartnagel, 85, a one-month resident of Carson City, died April 27, 2006, at Washoe Medical Center.

Mr. Hartnagel was born April 22, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Herman Hartnagel and Ester Silversten.

He was a salesman.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Las Vegas.

He enjoyed gambling on horses and the sports books.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Among his survivors are his son, Gary Hartnagel of Reno; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Dan Drake of Carson City; sister-in-law Dorothy Hartnagel of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one nephew, and friend Madeline Affronti.

Cremation took place at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
