Nyle Noble Nation, 86, a 40-year Wellington resident, died July 30, 2006, in Gardnerville.

Mr. Nation was born June 20, 1920, in Indiana to Perry W. and Coral Nation.

He retired from Harrah's as the chief of maintenance.

He served in the U.S. Navy, reaching the rank of chief petty officer.

Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law Charles and Carol Nation of Indio, Calif.; son Kenneth Nation of Carson City; daughters Coral Kapp of Orange, Calif., Carol Richmond and Pepper Kemp both of Carson City; sister Leona Nation Miller; brother Charles J. Nation and four grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
