A memorial service for Jan E. Hopkins, 69, a four-year Carson City resident, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Ms. Hopkins died Dec. 18, 2006, in Reno. She was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Illinois, to Lester and Nora Miller.

Before moving to Carson City, Ms. Hopkins lived in Glendale, Ariz.

She was a registered operating room nurse.

Ms. Hopkins enjoyed making dolls and needlework, and often won first place for needlework at the Arizona State Fair. She was Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Miller.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Pamela and Bobby Seaman of Sandpoint, Idaho; daughter Suzie Hopkins of Sacramento; brothers Wayne and Les Miller; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and close friends Linda and Jack Davis of Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
