A memorial service for Ashley Mary Lucille Masek, 20, of Carson City, will be at 11 a.m. today at Capital Baptist Church, 4555 S. Edmonds Dr., in Carson City with the Rev. Lary Rothchild officiating.
Ms. Masek died in an automobile accident Feb. 16, 2006. She was born Nov. 28, 1985, in Ukiah, Calif., to Mary Johnson and Miroslav Masek.
She was a 2003 graduate of Carson High School, was interested in computer graphics and fashion design, and was considering attending art school.
She had worked in the shoe department of Gottschalks since May 2005.
She enjoyed talking to and helping people, shopping, shoes and spending time with her boyfriend, dog and family.
Among her survivors are her mother and father, Mary and Les Hobbs; boyfriend, Bill Cronk and his family; sister Shannon Hobbs; sisters and brothers-in-law Kristin and Alex Lutges and Stacy and Kris Koscheski; grandmother, Mary Rudin; uncles Perry Johnson, Gary Johnson, Fred Johnson and Ed Johnson, Paul Blomquist and Donald Rudin; aunt, Christina Hobbs, two cousins; and three nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Baptist Church, where they will be used for programs that sponsor outreach and events for youth.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
