A memorial service for Helen B. Poupeney, 69, a 10-year Dayton resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Mrs. Poupeney died June 12, 2006, at her home. She was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Fresno, Calif., to George Smith and Mamie Robinson.

She married Dion F. Poupeney on Sept. 4, 1959, in Monterey, Calif.

Before moving to Dayton, Mrs. Poupeney lived in California.

She was an executive secretary, and retired from Safeway after 20 years.

She enjoyed golf and was a member of the Dayton Valley Women's Club and the Safeway Employees' Association.

Among her survivors are her husband of Dayton; daughter, Marie Ann Poupeney of Dayton; son, Craig Stephen Poupeney of Fernley; sister-in-law, Lynne Ward; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one aunt; one nephew; and one niece.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

Memorial donations may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada, 673 S. Stewart St., Carson City, NV 89701.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
