A celebration of life for Carol Lee Spell, 69, a 47-year Carson City resident, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Jeff Paul officiating.

Ms. Spell died June 18, 2006, in Carson City. She was born Nov. 25,1936, in Ely to Cline Spell and Faralie Smithson.

Before moving to Carson City, Ms. Spell lived in Reno.

She was a case worker for the Nevada State Department of Prisons.

She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the League of Women Voters and the Eagle Valley Women's Golf Club. She enjoyed playing golf and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Farol Lee Gilbert.

Among her survivors are sons and daughters-in-law James Michael and Tara Wittenberg of Sparks, Jeff and Jeanine Wittenberg of Carson City, and Jay and Tracey Wittenberg of Reno; daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and Al Ramirez of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister and brother-in-law Lynn and Jim Atcheson of Reno; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Jean Spell of Carson City; and five grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary's Foundation Hospice Fund, 520 W. Sixth St., Reno, NV, 89503-9911.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
