About 150 Nevada Army Guard soldiers from Company D, 113th Aviation Company began arriving Tuesday at Fort Lewis, Wash., from Afghanistan.

About 100 of them are from Nevada. They are scheduled to return in several flights Tuesday through Monday.

The soldiers are set to return to Reno in about two weeks; at that time, they will have an official welcome-home ceremony. This unit lost five soldiers in combat, including Northern Nevadans Chief Warrant Officer John Flynn and Sgt. Patrick Stewart.
