The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 31-year-old Starbucks employee from Gardnerville was arrested at 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $3,000 cash.


• A 20-year-old welder from Carson City was arrested at 1:05 a.m. Sunday at Goni Road and College Parkway on suspicion of misdemeanor speeding, no valid driver's license and drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,406.


• A 27-year-old laborer from Carson City was arrested at 1:57 p.m. Saturday at Saliman Road and Fifth Street on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of bail conditions. Bail was set at $3,000 cash.


• A 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 12:35 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Old Hot Springs Road on suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $237.


• A 20-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 2 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of a misdemeanor warrant for violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $1,000 cash.


• A 43-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 12:12 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Long Street on suspicion of a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court. Bail was set at $1,000 cash.


• Joshua Stephens, 22, of Carson City, was arrested at 2:27 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive on suspicion of a felony warrant for kidnapping and a gross-misdemeanor warrant for false imprisonment. Bail was set at $5,500.


• Billy Wayne Hankins, 33, of Carson City, was arrested at 7:39 a.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony driving under the influence third offense. Bail was set at $10,000.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:


• A shed fire in the 100 block of East Park Street at 10:09 a.m. Sunday. The Carson City Fire Department extinguished the blaze which caused approximately $30,000 worth of damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.




Lyon County


The following are some of the 140 calls to which deputies responded:


• A drunken driver at Pearl and California streets in Yerington at 12:55 a.m. Saturday.


• A drunken driver on Highway 50 East in Dayton at 2:16 a.m. Saturday.


• A report of a gas drive-off in the 100 block of Campbell Lane on tribal lands at 1:37 p.m. Saturday.


• A report of a fight in the 5500 block of Sioux Lane in Stagecoach at 5:05 p.m. Saturday.


• A report of a battery taken at the Fernley Substation at 11:40 p.m. Saturday.




Storey County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:


• A report of a traffic accident on North C Street in Virginia City at 2:24 p.m. Saturday.


• A report of a traffic stop on Main Street in Virginia City at 5:26 a.m. Sunday. The driver was issued a warning for speed.
