Three people were arrested and 30 pounds of marijuana were seized by Storey County deputies following a search of a Lockwood home Tuesday night.

Undersheriff Bruce Larson said a monthlong investigation by Storey County resulted in the 8:15 p.m. search of home on Avenue De La Azure in the Rainbow Bend community.

He said investigators allegedly found marijuana packaged for sale, smoking pipes, electronic scales, packaging material and a small amount of cash.

Residents Justin Cain, 23; Ryan Sterton, 19; and Jessica Ross, 18, were all arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cain was additionally booked on suspicion of possession of a firearm in proximity to a controlled substance and child endangerment after deputies discovered Cain's 4-year-old child was also in the home. The boy was released to his mother who lives elsewhere.

Ross was allegedly found to have 133 illegally obtained Vicodin tablets in her purse. She was additionally booked on possession of a prescription drug without a prescription.

Larson said two vehicles were also seized after marijuana was found in the trunk of one and investigators believe both were used to transport the drugs or help in the sales. Cain's bail was set at $66,132. Ross and Sterton were each being held on $52,500 bail.

The street value of the seized marijuana is estimated at between $3,000 and $5,000 per pound.
