Deer season to close in Western Nevada

The 2006 rifle, buck mule deer hunting season will close on Dec. 3 for many of the big game management areas located in the western portion of Nevada.

Those big game management areas include Nos. 192, 194-196, 201-206, 211, 212 and 291. Management areas 192, 195, 196 and 291 surround Carson City.

Only those hunters with rifle deer hunting tags received through the computerized drawing process, earlier this year, were permitted to hunt.
