A graveside service for Thelma Mae Edwards, 87, a 25-year Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery. A viewing will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Edwards died April 19, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Jan. 9, 1920, in Checotah, Okla., to Claud Rigney and Sarah Berry Rigney.

She married Charlie B. Edwards on March 13, 1938, in Checotah.

She was a sales clerk for ladies and children's apparel.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Carson City.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Among her survivors are her daughters Loretta Jones of Minden and Charlean Edwards of Sacramento; sister Eunice Rigney of Oklahoma; brother Alvie Rigney of Oklahoma; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
