A memorial service for Renee Ann Barber, 51, a Washoe Valley resident, will be 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 440 McClellan Drive, Washoe Valley. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Barber died April 21, 2007. She was born July 16, 1955, in Tillamook, Wash., to Jack Otis Nickerson and Gloria Hayes.
Before moving to Washoe Valley, Mrs. Barber lived in Carson City.
She was a high school graduate and had nursing training. She was a cook for the school system.
She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Among her survivors are her husband, Ronald J. Barber of Washoe Valley; sons Joshua Dale Thomson of Gardnerville and Ron Taron Barber of Riverdale, Utah; daughters Candace Marie Allison of Washoe Valley, Kim McClimes of Tooele, Utah, and Wendi Hoskins of Smithfield, Utah; sister Jackie Tuck of Carson City; brothers Richard and Dane Nickerson, and 15 grandchildren.
Burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno.
Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary in Reno is in charge of arrangements.
