"The Tempest" canceled

The Virginia City High School Theater Muckers' production of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" has been canceled.

"The Tempest" was to have been performed in the high school commons at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

The productions were canceled because of snow. Virginia City received about a foot of snow on Friday, though weather reports indicate Saturday will be partly cloudy.

VCHS Principal Pat Beckwith said he didn't know when the production would be rescheduled.
