A funeral for Louis A. Rohr, 83, a Carson City resident since 1986, will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Rohr died Jan. 5, 2007, at his home. He was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Redondo Beach, Calif., to Julian Rohr and Laura Diedrich.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Rohr lived in Hermosa Beach, Calif.

He graduated from Redondo Beach High School in 1942.

He was a carpenter and a cabinet maker for American Rockwell Aerospace for more than 40 years.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wife Melverta Rohr in 1992.

Among his survivors are his sister Betty Carpentar of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and nephews Brian Carpenter of Portland, Ore., and Frank Breedon of Texas.

Burial will take place in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
