Carolyn Carney, 87, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, died June 24, 2007, at Mountain View Hospital in Carson City. She was born July 28, 1919, in Pueblo, Colo., to Leonardo and Rosalia Losavio Sagona, Italian immigrants.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Huntington Beach, Calif.
She married Dick Carney on July 7, 1970, in Minden.
Mrs. Carney worked as a cashier in gaming and retired at age 84.
She enjoyed cooking.
She was a PTA president and a member of Eastern Star.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Toni Carlson of Moorpark, Calif., and two grandchildren.
No service will be held.
Capital City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
