A graveside service for Jean Rosaline Bawden, 90, a Carson City resident for the past 47 years, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Mrs. Bawden died May 16, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 1, 1916, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Winfred William Dornan and Elizabeth Fredricka Catrina Smith.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Concord, Calif.

She graduated from high school in Mayville, N.Y.

Mrs. Bawden was director of volunteers at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was coordinator of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, P.E.O. Sisterhood, and was Citizen of the Year in 1990 and a board member and chairwoman of the Carson-Tahoe Hospital Board of Trustees.

She was preceded in death by her sister Winifred Marguerite Williams in 1992, in San Leandro, Calif.;, and daughters Judith Elaine Bawden in 1945, in Oakland, Calif., and Kathleen Cheryl Bawden in 1988, in Carson City.

Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law William Robert and Charlene of Eastsound, Wash., Keith Edward and Roberta of Auburn, Wash., and James Fredrick and Catherine of Carson City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous extended-family members.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church School.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
