Reward offered for info in restaurant robbery

A reward is being offered for information on the armed robbery Sunday of Maricos Las Islitas Mexican Restaurant on Winnie Lane.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the individuals involved. .

Carson City Sheriff's Detective Daniel Gonzales said the owner closed his restaurant about 9 p.m. and went out to warm his car up about 20 minutes later.

As he made his way back into his business, he was met by two subjects.

"One of them placed a gun to his head and demanded that he open the door," said Gonzales. "Cash was taken and they took off."

Gonzales said there was no physical description of the men, nor did the victim see a vehicle, or in what direction they fled.
