Two people are being sought by police after they tied up and robbed three men Wednesday night before fleeing in a victim's car.

The robbery happened about 5 p.m. at the Bella Lago Village apartments in the 1600 block of Airport Road.

According to Carson City Sheriff's Detective Daniel Gonzales, the three victims were home in an upstairs apartment when there was a knock at the door.

When one of the men answered, he was greeted by two men, one with a silver handgun.

After a brief struggle the three victims were ordered to lie on the ground.

Gonzales said the suspects bound the victims with duct tape and demanded "drugs and money." He said the victims told the suspects they had neither.

After ransacking the apartment, the suspects left with the victims' wallets and cell phones in a 1991 Lincoln Town Car belonging to one of the victims.

The three were able to free themselves and sought help at the complex manager's office, said Gonzales.

An hour later, deputies Sam Hatley and Doug Speegle found the stolen vehicle in a dirt lot north of the Comstock Casino on Old Hot Springs Road.

One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet-8 with a goatee and wearing a white button-down shirt and black pants.

Gonzales said they were unable to describe the other assailant.
