A funeral Mass for John L. Ouilhon Sr., 77, a Carson City resident since 2002, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in San Mateo, Calif.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Sneider and Sullivan Funeral Home in San Mateo.

Mr. Ouilhon died Sept. 17, 2007, in Carson City. He was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Sonora, Calif., to Louis Ouilhon and Felicie Ouilhon. He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Ouilhon married Beverly A. Jaussaud on Sept. 20, 1952, in San Mateo. Prior to living in Carson City he resided in San Mateo.

He was a member of S.I.R.S. while living in San Mateo and was a sports enthusiasts. He loved dogs.

Mr. Ouilhon was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He loved Lake Tahoe, spending time in his cabin at the lake and with his children and grandchildren.

Among his survivors are his wife; sons John Louis Jr. and his wife, Victoria of Sutter Creek, Calif., and Michael P. and his wife, Sally of Rocklin, Calif.; daughter, Janet Uliana and her husband, Domenic of San Mateo; and eight grandchildren.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, Calif.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
