Allen Bartshe

A memorial service for Allen Bartshe, 100, a 20-year resident of Gardnerville, will be 3 p.m. Oct. 8 at the United Methodist Church in Gardnerville.

Mr. Bartshe died Sept. 16, 2007, in Gardnerville. He was born March 27, 1907, to Elmer Ira Bartshe and Iva Diane Allen Bartshe, in Hermitage, Mo.

Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Santa Ana, Calif. He married Doris Dawn on May 9, 1942, in Salome, Ariz. He attended Missouri State Teachers College. He was a real estate broker. He enjoyed fishing, rock hunting, pinochle and his friends.

Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Katherine Bartshe, of Los Angeles, and R. Timothy and Barbara Bartshe of Golden, Colo., and two nieces.

Inurnment will take place at Melrose Abbey in Orange, Calif.

Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army in Carson City.
