Moderate quake hits northeast Nevada

RENO " A moderate earthquake rattled a northeast Nevada town that was struck by a strong temblor in February.

The quake near Wells, initially estimated at 4.8 magnitude, was reduced to 4.2 by the National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo.

It was centered about 11 miles northeast of Wells and happened at 6:16 a.m. Tuesday.

There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Located about 60 miles west of the Nevada-Utah line on Interstate 80, Wells was hit by a 6.0 magnitude earthquake on Feb. 21 that damaged hundreds of homes and much of the town's historical district.

There were no injuries.
