House fire ignites brush south of Gardnerville

Douglas County firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in Bodie Flat, between Gardnerville and Topaz Lake, Monday night.

A double-wide mobile home in the 400 block of Apache Court was roughly 50 percent involved when officials arrived at the scene about 10:30 p.m. All residents were reportedly out of the home, according to scanner reports.

Firefighters also attacked a brush fire ignited by embers blowing uphill from the house.
