Antiques and collectibles show today


St. Paul's Lutheran Church will hold an antique and collectibles show 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today, 1201 N. Saliman. Quilts, vintage jewelry, primitives, pottery, pictures, farm memorabilia, and other items will be available. Lunch, coffee and snacks will be served. For information call 267-2557.


Ground Hog Hop at senior center

Benefit for Mattinson Family tonight


A Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction help the Mattinson family defray medical expenses 5-9 p.m. today, St. Gall's Pastoral Center, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Douglas County School District teachers, Robyn and Donovan Mattinson's son Britt collapsed and died at flag football practice.

Murder mystery dinner theater back at Piper's


A murder mystery dinner show, "Dead End at Piper's" is back at the opera house Saturday for another run after a successful string of shows last summer.


Audience members are invited to interact with the Piper's Players, which are producing the show, at various points. They should bring deductive skills and a big appetite, because dinner is included, even dessert.


The bar opens at 6:30 p.m., with a buffet dinner and the stage play to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 22-23.


Dinner and the play are $25; to see the play only is $10.
