Carl and Lori Morton and Dan and Diane Smith, both from Carson City, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn "Katie" Linnea Morton, to Jason Matthew Reecy.
Katie is a 2001 Carson High School graduate and received a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from University of Northern Colorado. Katie is a financial analyst for PholyPhaser Corporation in Minden.
Jason is the son of Gordon and Shirley Reecy of Grey Eagle, Minn. He is a 1995 graduate of Long Prairie/Grey Eagle High School in Minnesota and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. John's University in Minnesota. Jason is employed as audit manager for Freeman and Williams in Carson City.
Katie and Jason plan to marry in August at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Incline Village with the Rev. William Nadeau to officiate.
