Evening for Educators at Nevada State Museum from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Free open house, tours and reception for all area educators.




"Dead End at Piper's" is a murder mystery that will entertain and engage you. Interact with the actors at various points and the actors will certainly be interacting with you. Saint Mary's Hospice of Northern Nevada offers a free training class to volunteers interested in working with Hospice patients. Volunteers are instructed on the importance of hospice care for terminally ill patients and providing guidance on best-practice approaches to interacting with Hospice team members. Takes place every Tuesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church at 305 N. Minnesota St. from 12:30-4:30 p.m. For more information, call 770-6008.




Merry Go Rounds dance classes start at 6:30 p.m. at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center. Instructors include Don and Sheila Swartz.




The Forgotten Paternity of Carson City: An Interesting Look at the Founders of Carson City presented by Guy Rocha starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Nevada State Museum. Admission fees apply.




Tuesday Lecture Series features The Mapes Hotel - History of Nevada's First Hotel Casino. Presented by Patty Cafferata. Dinner buffet available from 5-7 p.m., with lecture $15; lecture only $5 at Gold Hill Hotel in Virginia City.
