John W. Hamilton, 86, passed away June 3, 2008. He was born July 1, 1921 to Clyde Milton Hamilton and Mary Eliza Miller in Ashland Ore.

John was a retired from the U.S. Navy as Master Chief Petty Officer after 26.5 years of service. After retirement he earned an Associate Degree in Business. He was president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles four times and was also a Past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by daughter Beverly Ann Clemensen.

He is survived by his wife Helen M. Hamilton; his granddaughters Heidi and Rebecca; great-grandchildren David, Lindsay, Kevin, Savana, and James; great-great-grandchildren Emma and Nathan, all of Carson City, NV. He is also survived by his sister, Lillian Mae Harris and brother Robert Paul Hamilton and several nieces and nephews of Grant's Pass Ore.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother to us all and he will be in our hearts forever. A TRUE GENTLEMAN.
