The Carson City Board of Supervisors met Thursday and these were some of the topics they focused on:

• The liquor license for Katie's Bar was reactivated after being suspended for two weeks.

The sheriff's department has said owner Katie Chew interfered with an investigation into a stabbing that happened outside her bar in February.

Chew had to develop a plan with the sheriff's department on how to increase security to get the license back.

• The Carson Nugget can use up to $50,000 it got from the city in a court settlement to study how to help develop downtown. Supervisors approved the settlement last month. The casino filed a lawsuit in 2000 saying the city didn't have the right to charge it for sections of Plaza Street bought in 1974 and Spear Street it bought in 1980.

• A committee will be formed to look into adding up to a 25-cent monthly charge on land and mobile phones to improve the city's emergency phone system.
