Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court:


• Bobby Joe McGhee Jr., 41, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday at Colorado and Baker streets on suspicion of gross misdemeanor destruction of evidence and misdemeanor obstructing an investigation and domestic battery. A deputy allegedly approached McGhee to arrest him on a warrant and McGhee swallowed what the officer thought was drugs. Bail was set at $6,039.


• Julie Ann Peters, 28 a bar employee from Carson City, was arrested at 6 p.m. Thursday at Lompa Lane and Highway 50 East on suspicion of gross misdemeanor child endangerment, misdemeanor drunken driving and failure to maintain lane. Bail was set at $3,724.


• A 49-year-old transient was arrested at 11:55 a.m. Thursday at Carson Street and Hot Springs Road on suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $237.


• A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 8:15 a.m. in the 3200 block of East Nye Lane on two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $6,331.


• A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 2:19 a.m. at Division and Proctor Streets on suspicion of misdemeanor defrauding an innkeeper and injury to a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $624.


Deputies responded to the following calls on Thursday:


• Report at 5:04 a.m. of a person in a red Dodge Durango stealing alcohol from the South Carson Street AM/PM.


• Report at 6:40 a.m. of a hit-and-run accident at West Fourth and South Curry streets. A red SUV stuck another vehicle and left the scene.


• Accident at Highway 50 East and Empire Ranch Road at 7:19 a.m.


• Report of glue put into locks at a business on East William Street.


• Report at 2:20 p.m. of a vehicle vandalized in the 600 block of South Roop Street.


• A father reported at 6:01 p.m. that he found drug paraphernalia in his son's bedroom while his son was out.


• A mother reported at 7:16 p.m. that her 13-year-old son hit her. The juvenile was arrested.


• A father reported someone "hit" his son's car, then battered his son at 6 p.m.




Lyon County


Deputies responded to the following calls on Thursday:


• Misdemeanor shoplifting arrest at the Fernley Wal-Mart at 5:39 p.m.


• Juvenile problem at Dayton High School at 10:39 a.m.


• Report of a brush fire in the hills behind Drifter Lane in Dayton at 11:41 a.m.


• Larceny report on Dayton Street in Mason Valley at 2:44 p.m.
