Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday on Silver Oak Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor driving without headlights, driving on a license revoked for driving under the influence of drugs, improper display of license plates, failure to wear seat belt and driving without proof of insurance. Bail was set at $2,295.


• An 18-year-old student from Carson City was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of East William Street on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court and petty larceny. Bail was set at $843.


• A 21-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested Monday at 8:13 p.m. at Second Street and Allouette Way on suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense driving under the influence, hit and run, driving without being in possession of license, driving without proof of insurance, impeding traffic and failure to render aid. Bail was set at $4,847.


• A 51-year-old woman from Mound House was arrested Monday at 9:31 p.m. in the 3700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of petty larceny. Bail was set at $347.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:


• Threat report at the Dollar Tree at 9:12 a.m.


• Report of tools and a license plate switched on Airport Road at 9:43 a.m.


• A mother reported her 19-year-old daughter missing in Merced, Calif., at 4:26 p.m.


• Report of a gun stolen sometime between November and Monday on Pinion Pine Drive.


• A PlayStation 3 game console, games and controllers valued at $400 reported stolen from the 2200 block of South Carson Street at 7:14 p.m.


• A 17-year-old teen was arrested after he allegedly intentionally drove into a juvenile on his bike on Baker Drive. According to dispatch reports, the victim and friends were sitting on a curb when the suspect sped past. When the group yelled for the driver to slow down, the driver stopped, turned around and sped at the group, striking one boy on his bike. The victim was not seriously injured. The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run.


• Shoplifting report at Raley's at 8:15 p.m.


• A report from Western Nevada College that a student threatened to sell nuclear secrets to the Russians at 7:50 p.m.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:


• Accident on Dayton Valley Road at 7:22 a.m.


• A runaway located in the River Ranch area of Fernley at 7:49 a.m.


• Report of apartment laundry machines broken into on Lois Lane in Fernley at 10:18 a.m.


• Case number issued for reported carjacking from Sunday night.


• A Sutro Elementary student reported to school officials that he was chased by an adult that morning and he was afraid to go home at 2:59 p.m.


• Felony arrest on Fort Churchill Road at 2:50 p.m.


• A mother reported her 11-year-old son was battered by another student in Fernley at 3:56 p.m.


• Coroner call on Citrus Street in Silver Springs at 5:31 p.m.


• Harassing phone call report in Mason Valley at 7:36 p.m.
