Today's weather for the Carson City area will be partly cloudy with highs 58-68 with light winds becoming south around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, partly cloudy with lows 30-40 with southwest winds around 10 mph.

Thursday, partly cloudy and breezy with highs 53-63 with southwest winds around 10 mph increasing to 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays. Fairview Drive, westbound, is now open from Saliman Road to Roop Street. However, there is continued work on Fairview Drive from South Edmonds to South Carson Street with lane closures and possible delays.

Eastbound Fairview Drive from South Carson Street to Roop Street is closed.

Road work continues on Highway 50 and includes possible delays.

Work continues also on East Fifth Street from Fairview Drive to Saliman Road.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:56 a.m. all roads in the area open with no controls.
