Chalk talkers Ð Miss Louise Henderson and Miss Maud Green, two noted workers and lecturers from the eastern states will be in Carson at the Presbyterian Church Miss Green is a chalk talker and will illustrate her lecture by free hand drawing as she talks. Judging from the eastern papers, the people of Carson will enjoy a treat in going to hear her.

Carson City's Nevada Day festivities are the oldest in the Silver State Ð this year is its golden anniversary. Governor Fred Balzar issued a proclamation in 1929 declaring Admission Day a legal holiday and called all concerned Nevadans "if possible to join in the official celebration to be held in the City of Reno." Through the efforts of Carson City Rotary, Lion's Club, 20-30, Thomas C. Wilson and Judge Clark Guild, the Nevada Day parade found a permanent home in Carson City in 1938.
