Carmelo "Mel" and Florence "Dolly" Lopiccolo, Carson City residents for the past 30 years, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Dolly and Mel were married Aug. 22, 1948 in San Jose, Calif. They moved to Carson City in 1978 where Mel started a landscape and general contracting business, and Dolly continued her career as a meat wrapper. Both are now retired.

The couple have three children; Debra Bily-Nevin of Reno, and Mark (Jenny) Lopiccolo and Karen (Daryl) Statten, all of Carson City, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dolly and Mel celebrated their anniversary at a family dinner held in their honor at Garibaldi's Restaurant.
