Today's weather will be sunny with highs 75-85 with light winds becoming southwest 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, clear with lows 41-51 with west winds 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph shifting to the southwest around 10 mph after midnight.

Thursday, sunny with highs 75-85 with southwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Resurfacing continues on Highway 50; traffic controls are in effect during all hours of the day with lane variations. Work includes paving, miscellaneous construction, speed limits, flaggers and possible delays.

The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is still in effect. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

Road work from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. along Highway 395 through Carson City has begun and includes paving, miscellaneous construction, speed limits, flaggers and possible delays.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:11 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
