Middle school open house at St. Teresa

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School will host its middle school open house, 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 567 S. Richmond Ave. St. Teresa of Avila is enrolling students in kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2009-10 school year. For information, call 882-2079.

Animal Rescue needs volunteers

Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation is looking for volunteers to help feed, clean litter boxes and socialize several cats at a Carson City foster home 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday or Sunday. Volunteers also are needed to transport cats to and from Cat Adoptions every Saturday at Petco, 901 Topsy Lane. Register early for walk-a-thon

Purchase raffle tickets to cancer center

Purchase your raffle ticket to win your choice of a 2009 Toyota Corolla or 2009 Ford Focus to benefit the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.
