Hill and Neer announce engagement

Victoria Anne Hill and Clinton Albert Neer recently announced their engagement.

Victoria is the daughter of Chris and Carol Hill, who have lived in Douglas County for more than 30 years and reside in the same house she grew up in from birth.

A native Nevadan, Victoria graduated from Douglas High School in 2001. She then graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in December 2005 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education. She is currently teaching English at North Valleys High School in Reno.

Clinton is the son of Charlie and Mary Lynn Neer. They reside in Taylorsville, Calif., a small farming community outside of Quincy, where they've lived more than 30 years.

Clinton graduated in 1998 from Greenville High School in Greenville, Calif. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in May 2005 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and is currently working for K2 Engineering in Reno.

The couple met in a class at UNR in 2004. In the spirit of Nevada's gambling world, they have been dating every since Victoria lost a - now lucky - bet to Clinton.

The couple is planning a wedding for June 12, 2010, in Taylorsville, with Victoria's friends Kimberly Cambra and Rebeckah the Clinton's brother Wesley Neer and friend Garrett Beebe, to attend the bride and groom.
